WELCOME: Mirabeau B. Lamar High School is proud to host this 40th Annual Texas Interscholastic High School Water Polo State Championship. We share this privilege with The University of Texas and the UT Men’s’ Water Polo Club.
FORMAT: 16 Team Championship Format for each gender (32 teams’ total). All teams will receive at least two games.
DATE: Friday & Saturday, May 4-5, 2012
FACILITY: UT features (3)-25 yard courses for tournament competition. All three pool settings will feature Daktronics Scoring. Each pool will also have a main Game Clock and shot clocks which will run simultaneously.
LOCATION: The Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center is located at 1900 Robert Dedman Drive on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin.
RULES: 2011-12 National Federation Rules for all competitions. Team on top of bracket wears blue caps.
Tournament games # 1-44 are 6 minute quarters. 3rd Place and Championship games are 7 minute quarters.
QUALIFIERS: Top Four teams for each gender qualify from the four regions in Texas
• Region #1) North-Dallas
• Region #2) East-Houston
• Region #3) South-Houston
• Region #4) West-San Antonio
All qualifying teams need to submit a complete team roster AND team photograph. Use template that will be provided prior to Regional Tournaments. IMPORTANT: E-mail rosters/photograph to Mac McDonald at MacBelbot@yahoo.com . Deadline is Wednesday,
April 25th.
AWARDS: First through third place banners, MVP trophies and All State recognitions for both girls and boys. All State Team selections will receive a certificate for their accomplishments.
ENTRY FEE: $200.00 per team/gender.

ENTRIES/ROSTERS DUE: Program information must be e-mailed to Mac McDonald at MacBelbot@yahoo.com no later than April 25th. Please provide cap numbers and grade for each athlete when you submit your roster. Use template that will be provided prior to Regional Tournaments. Captains names, mascot, colors, current record, and all coaches names should also be provided with the team roster. Entry fees must be accounted for before a team can play
in the tournament.
COACHES MEETING: A general coaches meeting will on Thursday, May 3rd at 8:00 pm. The meeting will held in Classroom of the Natatorium. A referee meeting will occur at 9:00 pm also in the Classroom Room on Thursday night
PROGRAMS: Programs will be available for $10 at the admissions table.
ADVERTISEMENTS: If you want to place an ad for the program. Copy must be received by Mac McDonald at MacBelbot@yahoo.com no later than Wednesday April 25th.

ENTRANCE: Spectators enter through main doors upstairs. Officials & Teams enter through the bottom entrance underneath the main entrance
CONCESSIONS: Concession stand will be open during the tournament.
HOSPITALITY: Hospitality will be available for Coaches and Officials
EVENT APPAREL: T-Shirts, Sweatshirts and other apparel will be for sale.
NOISE MAKERS: According to UIL rules, noise makers are not allowed on deck or in the bleachers. This includes horns and musical instruments.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: All deck photographers must be pre-approved by CISD Natatorium.
